Based in the hub of Brisbane’s nightlife, this unique venue is inspired by all things 1920s and will offer an experience never to be forgotten by your guests. Step back in time to the world of flappers and bootleggers, jazz and liquor; the era of Prohibition gave rise to a culture like no other. Prohibition invites you to experience the opulence they have to offer, with spectacular dancers, dazzling cocktails, and fantastic music through Brisbane’s best sound system. They truly are ‘putting on the Ritz’ for you and your guests.
They strive to ensure each function is personally tailored to suit each customers preference and style. At Prohibition, they do not charge any area hire fees, simply a minimum spend which goes towards the bar tab or drinks package.
Wall Street
Reminiscent of F. Scott Fitzgerald’s ‘Great Gatsby’, this private room will transport your guests back in time to the lavish lifestyle of the 1920s aristocrat. With your own private bar and premium alcohol being stocked on the shelves, there is no room for disappointment. It is completely closed off from the rest of the nightclub and contains its own bathrooms. Wall St can hold approximately 120ppl with seating for 60, and has a minimum spend of $1500.
Peacock Lounge
The Peacock Lounge decorated in emerald hues and furnished with plush armchairs provides an intimate backdrop for any occasion. This secluded space offers an abundance of comfort and is the ideal space for you and your guests to kick back and relax with a cocktail and easy conversation. Capacity is approximately 30 guests.
VIP Booths
The VIP booths are sectioned off with gold brass and red velvet ropes from the main dance floor area. These booths provide exclusivity whilst overlooking the main dance floor and DJ booth area. All VIP Booth areas include your own personal waitress, a private sectioned area for you and your guests, and with express entry to avoid any lines. Capacity of 5-50 guests depending on the package purchased.
Garden Bar
This brand-new addition to Prohibition takes outdoor casual drink sessions to a whole new level. With opportunities to organise bottomless drinks, share jugs and catering, this area is perfect for a relaxed function. Capacity is approximately 250.
Main Bar
